Should I buy a house without a backyard?

buy house
Lake 38 asked:

I know this is a ridiculous question, but I currently live next door to a family who is selling their house. It is the only other house on our street and we would like to buy it as a rental. Would you advise buying such a property, seeing as they have had a difficult time selling it?

I would think that some family might not be able to pass it up if it is in a good area with a good school district. But I probably wouldn’t buy it because it will be harder to sell once you want to leave (unless you plan to continue renting it out once you move).
