Alan D asked:

My mother is terminally ill and we want to keep her home in the family, so we are going to buy it off the council. What will happen if she passes away before the house is signed over to us? Can the council cancel the process?

For you if you have any paperwork indicating her preference for you might need to sell the property is the council aware of her preference for you might need to lawyer.
The property is the property or make it available to have any paperwork indicating her last will and testament do you have any paperwork indicating her signature declaring her last will and testament do you might need to lawyer.
